Thanks to everyone who sent in their feedback to us! The following changes are included in the April 29, 2016 Jazzit Fundamentals update:

CP – Home Menu

  • The Home Menu has been updated to allow updating of a client file with a single click. When two or more templates are out of date in a client file, a “Complete all Admin updates” button will appear in the Home Menu. Clicking on this button will update all out of date templates

  • The Home Menu can now be locked into the freeze and follow you throughout the financial statements. Locking the Home Menu in the freeze allow you to access tab functionality throughout the financial statements and make changes without losing the place you were reviewing and seeing changes made in real time. (The only exception to this is the Column Settings on the 9 column financial statements and the Admin tab)

  • Double clicking on the client name in the Home Menu brings up a summary of the file. Some of the information included in this window include: entity structure, engagement type, the current net income as per the CaseWare trial balance, and the location of the file
  • The Home Menu has been updated to indicate which column setup the current client file is using, i.e. 2 or 9 column financial statements. This reference can be seen on the right side of the client name
  • Added a diagnostic which will warn the user when the financial statements have been set to display print lines only
  • Added a diagnostic which will warn the user when the financial statements identifier has been changed from the default “FS”
  • The ‘Save & Exit’ button’s tooltip now displays the date and time of when the file was last saved

K8 – Financial Instruments

  • (Option 1) The currency risk section of the Financial Instruments note now features a table to show amounts in foreign currency together with a paragraph afterwards to explain any details

RL – Client representation letter

  • The letter now has the ability to switch the signatures lines ON/OFF (in accordance with the changes made to sample letter CPEM A4.1). This setting can be found under the letter options settings

SCMGTR – Management’s Responsibility (PSAB)

  • Update the wording if the client structure is set to PSAB

IS2 – 9 column Income Statement (PSAB)
